Co-Working and Events Space
The Hub workspace, refurbished to a high specification, is located opposite the entrance to the Santa Marta community. It is equipped with laptops to help support business innovation, internet, and free access for anyone in the community to use as a “small business networking Hub”. Anyone who needs it can book a day and time to use it by contacting the space’s coordinator, a resident of the Santa Marta community who is also part of Project Hub’s programme team.
Development Modules
There are six modules on topics related to entrepreneurship and the development of a successful business. Each module consists of three face-to-face meetings and is taught by highly qualified professionals.
Aware of the reality of the inhabitants of communities in Rio de Janeiro, the initiative aims to adapt the knowledge journey to suit the audience in question, not only with technical content but also with practical activities that are inclusive and in keeping with the reality of the entrepreneurs.
The six modules are spread over a ten-month programme and up to 30 entrepreneurs can be admitted to each one. We recognise that not everyone can make a long-term commitment, so we are expecting up to fifteen to take the full development path, going through all the modules.
Individual Mentoring Programme
In the mentoring sessions, participants will have individual exchanges based on what they have already learnt in the face-to-face meetings, with the support of prepared and experienced people.
The choice of mentor will be made freely by the participant. In an online format, both mentors and mentees will have flexibility of days and times to hold the meetings, which will take place up to twice a month.
The partnership with Top2You provided the opportunity to develop an exclusive platform for Project Hub, with greater autonomy and possibilities for the mentees.
We believe that this diversity of mentors will bring an enriching perspective and will benefit Project Hub participants even more.
Continuous and Holistic Support
Ongoing support is guaranteed by the Hub’s open-door model. Students and alumni are encouraged to continue their knowledge journeys in internal workshops, external events, and ongoing consultancies. It is possible to take part in modules, workshops and mentoring at any time. Psychological counselling is offered to those who want this support and monitoring, provided by trained professionals and Hub partners.
