Alex Sandro Lino, also known as professor Sil, is 44 years old and was born and raised in the Santa Marta favela. Alex is a capoeira teacher and one of the founders of the social project Capoeira Santa Marta, where he gives classes for children, from 3 to 12 years old, and for adults.

With the advent of the pandemic, the Capoeira Santa Marta project ran out of funds and could no longer support itself. Based on this fact, the capoeirista decided to put into practice an entrepreneurial idea to raise money for his social work.

In 2020, Alex created the brand @heranca.oficial, an online print store that carries representation in its DNA. Passionate about capoeira, black and peripheral culture, Alex always wanted to dress with a brand that represented him and was a symbol of resistance.

Through the sales of shirts and hats, he is able to continue his work with the residents of Santa Marta, training future capoeiristas.

The entrepreneur reveals that he was not very familiar with sales and marketing. So he enrolled in Project Hub to gain knowledge in business management to use in his venture.
